ungoliantschilde:

Simone Bianchi’s cover art for Uncanny X-Force #5.1 and Uncanny X-Force: Fear Itself #s 1-3. Rick Remender wrote all of the issues. Rafael Albuquerque did the interiors for Uncanny X-Force # 5.1. And Simone Bianchi did the interiors for the Fear Itself Tie-In miniseries. Needless to say, all four issues are beautiful, intricate, kinetic, and violent.

ungoliantschilde:

Simone Bianchi ~ Gotham City’s Dark Knight Detective!

-the 1st is a print done for the 2010 Lucca Comic Con (Italy).
-the Rest are the covers for Detective Comics #s 820-830,
with the exceptions of 826 and 829. Also, those issues were written by Paul Dini, so you should read them. Today.

An all-new Corto Maltese album is coming from Casterman courtesy of the brilliant artist Ruben Pellejro and Blacksad writer Juan Diaz Canales coming in October 2015. No news on the English-edition, but wellnotwisely has an English-language write up for comicsalliance here.
I’ve said this on Twitter, but I’m really not sure what I think. That is a brilliant team. Ruben Pellejro is an astonishing visual storyteller and Canales writes one of my favorite new Eurocomics of the last decade, but Corto is so tied into Pratt it’s almost like someone besides spiegelman doing Maus III, especially if Pellejro is going to ape Pratt’s work as he has in the above image.
Still — I’m definitely interested to see more as it comes out.
